Hilly Barmby - Illustrator and artist

My main medium is watercolour, combined with inks and coloured pencils, although I have dabbled in acrylic with my flower paintings and the large Alhambra.

My passion is the old fashioned fairy tales from the brothers Grimm and traditional Hans Christian Andersen.

Also, I love to paint what is around me, the landscapes and the flowers.

 

A number of the plates are from my own stories.

 

I have used Photoshop for my digital work, printing off the photos and then re-working them with other media, often to be processed again.
